As a follow up to our op-ed piece on China “fleecing” Apple and Google, its interesting to come across this report on InformationWeek from Strand Consult which claims that no western carriers are making any money from getting in bed with Apple.

"According to the research we have conducted on the operators, not one of these has increased their market share, revenue, or their earnings as a result of introducing the iPhone," Strand Consult said in the report. "When looking at the numbers we can't see the iPhone effect -- a lot of competitors are actually doing better." –Full Story

In fact their claiming the closer the carrier is to Apple the worse off they do financially. So I ask you who’s screwing who?
