Due to some technical difficulties, I didn’t get a chance to publish a highlight of last week’s Live & Learn content. Ah well, it’s only Tuesday so I might as well summarize it now … they were dominated by Android tips and tutorials, with a little bit thrown in for Windows fans and cloud app lovers
One tutorial taught how to uninstall applications installed from Android Market, but that were no longer needed.
You can also learn to disable the auto MMS feature.
Learn to tweak your Android tablet a bit to accept applications downloaded from apps stores other than the Android Marketplace.
Learn how to look at and/or delete your download history.
You can also learn to save an image from the Web to your Android tablet.
Sometimes you may need to force close applications on your Android tablet. We explained how.
Then on to Windows stuff:
If you scribble notes and phone numbers on bits of paper then stop being a mess and start using your tablet to take notes.
Yet another useful tool for your Windows tablet is the education pack utility, ‘Send to Microsoft Office OneNote 2003'. This will enable you to send web pages and documents directly to OneNote.
As for cloud apps , we looked at a handy application to store, share and transfer files across devices. Just the right tool for today's mobile generation! You can also handle screen capture with Screencastle.
