As their battle with local rival Acer heats up, Asus has just announced four new Intel CULV-based notebooks: the 15.6-inch UL50Vg, the 14-inch UL80VT, the 13.3-inch UL30A and the 12.1-inch UL20A.

A representative of Asus suggested a reasonable outlook for the CULV notebook series would be 0.6-1 million units shipped by the end of the year and that Asus estimates a 20-30% growth in the segment in 2010.

Interestingly, Asus also announced that industry giant, Foxconn, would make 30% of their CULV notebooks next year.
