StreamTV Elocity A7 and Toshiba Folio 100 tablets bringing Tegra into the tablet mix
I have to admit that I get a little skeptical or worried about Tegra 2 sometimes. You read a lot of good things about the performance (or what the performance should be like) but you don’t actually see it in many commercial offerings, from any big players the way...

P660

Here is a video looking at the P660+ smartphone, a totally accurate clone of the HTC P3470. Running Windows Mobile 6.5 on its 2.8" inch touch screen, the P3470 retains echoes of the dashing good looks and slick hardware feel of a Nexus one. Impressed? Wait until you see the price tag ...

The HTC P3470 is one of those devices that has been around for a while (March 2008?), harking back to a much simpler time where HTC was just a High Tech Company beholden to the larger brand players, and frankly happy just to be in the game. Back in 2008 it had yet to evolve into the clued up, self-aware smartphone device manufacturer it is today. Indeed this was before 'YOU' and I had really heard of them.

Nevertheless, the P3470 was a decent device that was in many respects over shadowed by the high profile devices to follow. The P660+ is a cloned version of that same device and in some respects almost seems to be paying homage to HTC's earlier and perhaps less complicated designs. It can also be had for a reasonable 165 bucks or so.

In terms of specifications the P660+ goes something like this:

LCD: 2.8 inch, QVGA touch screen at 240 x 320 pixels
GSM Bands: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
Network: GMS/GPRS/EDGE
OS: Windows Mobile 6.5
Processor: HiSilicon-K3
Connectivity: Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth
Dimensions: 108mm x 57mm x 15.5mm
Camera: 2.0 Megapixel
Memory: 2GB TF card slot

Check out the video for a closer look:

Conclusions:

In conclusion, this could be great choice for anyone who doesn't really care about bling or gltz, so perhaps a price conscious business user? Also, although Windows Mobile does seem to be behind Apple and Google's smartphone environments, Microsoft still has its fans. The P660+ churns through the sliding menus of the Windows OS as smoothly as you like, although typing relies upon the stylus and can be tad difficult on a screen this size. For way under 200 bucks however, this little guy is a very decent prospect.
