Whether you’re in a rural village where power supply is unreliable or you’re an urban dweller in a city and you’re out all day and night, being able to solar charge your phone would be handy. The Chinese company Strapya has created a solar-powered charger that is specially designed for the iPhone and iPod.
This charger weighs only 30 grams and is the size of a matchbox, so it is very easy to carry around. It gets charged up when its solar panel faces the sun, taking for 6 to 12 hours to get fully charged. When it is fully charged, you just need to plug it into your iPhone or iPad to power them up. The charger will provide your iPhone with 75 minutes of talk time and will provide 7 hours of music time for your iPod.
For a novelty twist, these chargers also come with shells designed with comic character themes like Hello Kitty and Winnie the Pooh in two different color combinations.
