If you are a serious Android user then I’m sure you’ll agree that widgets are a real boon. SwitchPro certainly throws a whole lot of useful stuff into one widget. When you run the widget you get direct access to a whole bunch of useful things: Data connection, Brightness, Flashlight, Screen always on, Vibration/Silent Mode, Show settings panel, Airplane mode, etc.
SwitchPro is free on Android Market.
Install it following our guide. You can set it up with a choice of four sizes. On the home screen it shows up as a row of buttons, with the active parts highlighted with the color of your choice.
You can select what you get access to on each button. Of the four sizes you can choose between 1-4 buttons to display at a time and then you select which icon is in each position. The choices are: Brightness, Battery Indicator, Vibration/Silent mode, Auto-rotate screen, Screen always on, Reload media, Unlock Pattern, Reboot (Rooted), Flashlight, 3G-2G, Speaker Mode, Auto Screen Lock and Mount/Unmount storage.
SwitchPro also has an Application Menu icon. Click on the icon to ‘Show Settings panel’ where you can change the basic settings.
Using the SwitchPro widget you can easily toggle between networks: WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
In ‘Select mode’ you can change your device’s mode to Silent, Vibration or Vibration/Silent. You can also mute the media and alarm volume.
To change the brightness level go to ‘Level of brightness’ where you can choose a level by percentage, or choose ‘Show time selector’ to set a timeframe for when you want your screen to turn off.
The ‘Flashlight’ option turns your camera flash into flashlight. The feature doesn’t support all camera flashes.
SwitchPro gives you an easy way to toggle between and change your Android device settings, avoiding having to go through levels of menus.
