There are quite a few options when it comes to locking your Android device. You can set a complex pattern that you draw on the screen for example, but Lock Screen widget is really simple.

This home screen widget is free to download from Android Market.

The widget looks like a gold Lock on the home screen. Whenever you want to lock the screen, just tap the lock icon.

I really like the one click lock of the iPhone and now I can have the same on my Android device.
