Although you can just go ahead and directly insert and eject SD cards with an Android device, it’s not advisable. The sudden ejection of a memory stick could cause data loss and may corrupt the card. Here’s how to remove removable media safely.
From the menu list, tap the Settings icon.
Tap SD card and phone storage.
Tap Unmount SD card . Now it’s safe to remove the SD card.
