This tip is specifically for UK Android tablet owners. Unlike other users, British Gmail users have been using the @googlemail.com name for their Gmail because of some legal issue (that Google resolved this year). The switch from @googlemail .com to @gmail.com wasn’t that smooth for most users. There are login errors that prevent downloads of apps from the Android Market. Here’s a quick fix:
From the Menu list, tap the
Settings icon.
Tap Applications .
Tap Manage Applications .
Select Gmail and tap the Clear Data button.
Go back and choose Gmail Storage, and tap the Clear Data button.
Go back and choose Google Apps, and tap the Clear Cache button.
Restart your tablet and you should be able to sign with your @gmail.com without a hitch.
