How to add words to the Android dictionary

An Android keyboard offers smart text predictions, so you don’t have to type the complete word every time. But sometimes the Android dictionary doesn’t have a word that you tend to use often. Here’s how you can add words to the Android dictionary.

Follow these simple steps to access the Android keyboard dictionary.


 
Go to Settings and open Locale and text. 


 
Now tap on User dictionary from Text settings. 


 
The screen will be blank the first time you access the dictionary since there will be  no words added to it yet. 


 
Click on the Add option from dictionary Menu.

This will open the Add to dictionary dialog box. Type in the word and click OK.



To keep your typing as fluid as possible, enable Quick fixes, Show suggestions and Auto-complete in the Android Keyboard settings.
