Android isn’t some basic smartphone OS, it can handle multitasking and you can keep multiple applications open at the same time. The Android default browser also allows you to open multiple browser windows. The question is do you know how to toggle between multiple browser windows on Android?
The Android default browser allows you to have more than one web page open at once in different windows.
If you tap and hold on a link a pop-up will ask you how you want to handle it and you can choose to ‘Open in a new window’.
So … you probably already knew that. Now if you go to the browser Menu and tap on Windows, a new pop up window will open and it will display a tiled view of the sites you’ve already opened.
Tap on any one to view just that web page taking up the entire screen.
You can also close any window from here by clicking on the cross button.
This is neat but if you want more advanced browsing, go for an Android alternative browser like Dolphin where you can use tabs.
