If your Android powered device allows you to enjoy telephony services and you’re on a limited data plan, disabling the MMS Auto-Retrieve function will help you cut down your data usage to some extent.
From the Home screen, tap the
Messaging icon
Press the Menu button and tap on Settings.
Uncheck the Auto-Retrieve checkbox.
This won’t stop you from getting MMS messages all together, it just means you’ll have to actually agree to download it when you get one, instead of just automatically downloading it.
