Hide unwanted files from your playlist (Android)

Sometimes the music player on an Android device lists some files that you probably don’t want there … files like ringtones or GPS voice files. It’s pretty annoying when they get mixed up with your music. Here’s a quick solution:

On your computer, open a notepad file and save the empty file as .nomedia. Make sure to select All Files from the Save as type combo box. Now copy the file to the folders on your memory card containing the image or media files you want to conceal from media players. Now reboot your Android device and the files should no longer be viewable in the playlist.
