Sometimes you don’t want your entire phone locked, and at the same time you don’t want people to be able to check out your apps. The App Lock app can put a lock on some apps without locking your entire phone.
App Lock works in a way that’s similar to App Protector, and it’s free to download from the Android Market.
After installation, the app will automatically add camera, Gmail and settings to the list of locked apps. You can edit this protected apps list and add more apps to it from the application menu.

Next time when you try to open any of these apps, the App Lock will ask for a pass code. The apps on the list can be accessed by entering a four digit pass code. The pass code is 8888 by default but you should change that in the settings.

It’s always a good idea to keep your important personal information locked in case you lose your phone. This solution means you don’t need to enter a password or code to access your phone, just whatever apps you think need some added security … you wouldn’t bother putting a game on the App Lock list, for example.
