The default Android browser and advanced browsers like Dolphin and Skyfire, provide a lot of handy options to sort bookmarks—by date, or by how frequently they are used. In any case you are not allowed to manually sort the bookmarks, but now you can with this tiny app called ‘Bookmarks sort and backup’.
You can download and install the Bookmark Sort & Backup app from the Android Market for free.

Launch the application and it will assemble all your browser bookmarks in a list. Select a bookmark and tap the arrow up/down button to move its position on the list.

You can also sort them alphabetically from the Menu.

Tap and hold a bookmark to unlock open, edit or delete.

Bookmark Sort & Backup also lets you make a back-up of all your bookmarks. Go to Menu, and tap Backup to save your bookmarks to an SD card.

You can edit the file path in the Settings. There is a restore option in the Menu if you want to return to the old order.
It’s only a tiny app but it’s very handy for sorting, backing up, and restoring bookmarks.
