Android Tip of the Day: Activate the Power Strip to keep your device under control

I was looking for a better way to control battery-draining features like the screen brightness, Wi-Fi on my Android 2.2 tablet, and I stumbled upon the Android Power Strip. It is one of the features that many people don’t know about; saving you the effort of having to install an extra app.

Apart from Wi-Fi, Screen Brightness and Sync, the Power Strip gives you access to control GPS and Bluetooth.

 

The Power Strip is one of the newly introduced features of Android 2.1; it sadly, does not exist in the older versions. It is a built-in widget, so all you have to do to launch the Power Strip on your Homescreen is long press on the Homescreen, go to the ‘Choose widget’ window, and tap on the ‘Power Control’ tab.

The Power Strip is a simple and handy tool that helps save power on your Android device, since it provides easy access to common battery-draining features.
