If you are a very busy person who uses your Android device for long periods away from a charger, and you’re looking for a simple app that will help increase the battery life without you having to go into the technicalities of each function running on your device, then this app is for you.

The PowerMax app is free on the Android Market and requires Android 1.5 or above.

PowerMax provides a simple toggle switch, which you can switch on when your device’s battery is getting low and you don’t have time to charge it. You can choose between Maximum, Standard, Low or Customized levels of operation.

What the app does is to turn off or adjust certain functions that eat up the battery life. The app will take care of the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wallpaper, Screen brightness and GPS settings by default, or you can customize the settings to choose which features the app should control.

The app comes with a widget which you can set up on your homescreen so that you can use it as a switch to turn the app on and off.
