Customize your own radio station with the Pandora app

Love listening to the music of your favorite artists; why not create a radio station playing their songs endlessly? Your Android device can help you out with the Pandora app.

The Pandora app offers the functionality of the Pandora online radio, packaged for an Android device. It creates a personalized radio station of the artists you would like to listen to. It’s available in the Android Marketplace for free.

To set up your own radio station, search for songs or artists using the search box, and it will then create a radio station of the songs that come up. You can enter more than one artist or song name.

If that’s too much hassle you can instead listen to collections that have already been put together by other users. If you respond to a track with a ‘favorable’ tag (thumbs up) then songs of similar taste will be queued in your station. There are even options to bookmark a song, or to buy it from iTunes or Amazon.

Internet radio, especially on mobile devices, still isn’t as good a quality as purchased MP3s, but Pandora is a cheap way of listening to new release songs.
