Everyone’s got a camera in their pocket these days, courtesy of their mobile phone, and there are heaps of ways to add something extra to them … like this Android FXCamera app.
My Android device has really simple camera and the default interface doesn’t have many options so I needed an app like this so that I could play around a bit more. With it I can add retro effects like Polaroid, negative, and sepia. You can also take photos with a fish eye view or the warhol effect which will render a photo into a semi painted colored masterpiece.
You can also make your little sister squeal by setting her up with a second nose using the symmetry effects, which is also handy for manipulating an image to show many flowers (for example) when you only took a photo of one.
If you’re old enough you can have a flashback to the old days by capturing photos with the ToyCam effect. Other options include mucking around with color and vignetting effects.
Once you’re done you can really upset that sister of yours, by posting your masterpiece on Facebook, Flickr, Picasa and/or Twitter.
This app won’t turn your phone or tablet’s camera into a 10MP digital camera replacement; it’s just a fun free way to have fun with your photos. Teenagers who love uploading pics of every little thing their friends do will love it.
