Wi-Fi File Explorer turns your Android device into a web server over your Wi-Fi network, so that you can upload and download files from your Android device using a web browser.
Download the Wi-Fi File Explorer app from the Android Market. There’s free version that allows you to browse, sync and download files from your Android device and a USD 1.27 Pro version that even supports uploads, deleting, zipping and creating copies of the files on your device's SD card.

When you launch Wi-Fi File Explorer and the home page will display an IP address. Type this IP address in the URL bar of your browser and you will see a list of all the files on your Android device’s SD card. It’s similar to accessing files on a server, but it will work only if your phone/tablet and computer both are on the same Wi-Fi network.

All the files are listed with their type, size, modified date and actions to perform. Clicking on a folder will direct you to sub directories, but you can access files only from the SD card and not from the internal memory.

Clicking on any file will instantly download a copy on your computer. The Pro version even enables you to delete, copy, zip and upload files. Select the folder/file and click on Delete, Zip, Create Copy and other actions to manage files. You can also set a password to secure your web server.
It’s amazing how this app has made the USB port and Bluetooth redundant for me; I can transfer files between multiple devices and all I need is a web browser.
