CT Scheduler isn’t a calendar or task list manager, this app schedules tasks for your Android device like sending an SMS, switching off Bluetooth, switching on Wi-Fi, etc.
CT Scheduler is on Android market for free.
Under ‘Action’ you can see which actions on your device can be scheduled. They includes Send SMS, Switch Wallpaper, Switch Bluetooth, Switch 2G/3G Data, Switch Airplane Mode, Switch Volume, Switch WiFi and Open URI/Program.
If you want to open a selected program at a defined time use the ‘Open URI/Program’ option and select the program and time.
You can set an alarm for every schedule you make and the ringer mode can be on silent, vibrate or normal.
You can set up a once-off time or recurring schedules that are daily, weekly, monthly or annually.
Any actions you have scheduled can be turned off or suspended.
This app does appear to do what it claims to do but I fail to see the value in it. The amount of times that I would know in advance when I want to turn on or off Bluetooth, or predict that I’ll have a burning desire to have my wallpaper change next Wednesday at noon … well, it all seems a bit odd to me. We just write about them … we don’t always explain why they were made!
