The list of things to do every day never ends. Some people are switching to notepad apps on their phones or tablets rather than paper. ColorNote is one of the many free notepad apps out there for Android.
ColorNote is a basic Android notepad text editor and it’s available for download from the Android Market.
The ColorNote interface is very clean and simple, providing a way to create and stick bit-sized notes and reminders on your home page.
First select the type of note you want to create: text or checklist. Click the small pencil icon on the top right to be in edit mode.
You can assign a color to each note or list that you create, and you can sort your notes either by color, time or alphabetically.
The Checklist allows you to create to-do lists. Each task can have an alarm.
ColorNote also allows you to set forward reminders.
The notes and lists can be shared via email, Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, etc.
When you’ve completed a task simply put a strike through it. If the task is something you need to do regularly, you can remove the strike through so that’s it’s back on the list.
Any notes or Checklists you set up on ColorNote can be backed up on an SD card. You also have the option to protect your notes with a password.
As I said, this is just one of many notepad apps out there. It’s got all the basics that you need though, plus color-coding.
