Like a lof of Android users, you probably download apps from the Android Market every day or at least every week. And like other Android users you probably tap on the “Accept and Download” tab without thinking about it when the apps ask for permissions. But let me warn you that this could be potentially dangerous to your Android device! Many apps are spyware, and if you don’t take proper notice of the permissions, you may be attracting new spyware to your device.
This app is free on the Android Market and requires Android 2.1 or up. A pro version of the app is available for USD 5, but it’s not very different from the Free version.

This app has two sections, the “App list” and the “Permissions list”.
Tapping on the App list, will take you to a screen that lists all the apps installed on your device. Those with a key icon require access to your personal information and those with a dollar sign cost money (potentially).

When you tap on an app from this list you’ll be shown a list of all the permissions required by that particular app for it to run.

Tapping on “Permission list” on the main screen will list different types of permissions, and tapping on any one of them will take you to another screen that explains the meaning of that particular permission, and tells you the number of apps that you have installed that ask for this permission.

It is good to keep a tab on the apps that use personal information, and this app is very useful in this regard.
