The Droid System Suite is free on the Android Market and requires Android 2.0 or up.
The app is divided into 4 different sections- Board, System, Tasks and Apps.
On tapping on ‘Board’ the app gives you details on the usage of the system’s CPU, the juice in the battery, usage of RAM, ROM and the SD Card, the devices Uptime and IP, and also the stats for the data traffic to and from your device.
On tapping on the ‘System’ tab, the app lists different options like Device, Build, Network, etc. You can get details on each of these by just tapping on the appropriate sections.
The details given in each of these sections is exhaustive, and you can get to know your Android device really well.
The app also acts as a task manager, so what the ‘Tasks’ section does is that it lists all the apps on the device and tells you whether an app is running in the background or not. You can kill all the apps running in the background or manage the apps individually.
You can tap on individual app names to enter, kill or uninstall them.
Tapping on ‘Info’ will give information on that particular app.
The ‘Apps’ section again lists all the apps on your device and gives you details on the number of apps present, and the space left on the SD card and internal memory.
You can filter or sort the apps under different sections, and then uninstall the ones you don’t need anymore, just by tapping on the app names.
This app is very informative with regard to your Android device. I myself learnt a lot about my device after installing this app. It is a must-have app for anyone who wants complete info about and control of their Android device.
