Math Workout is a fun app that can help both adults and kids alike to improve their math. It caters to kids who are just starting to learn maths, and also gives adults’ brains some good exercise.
This app is free on the Android Market and runs on Android 1.6 or up.
The app has 6 different sections, and each section deals with different kinds of activities.

The ‘Addition & Subtraction’ and ‘Multiplication & Division’ sections, when selected, present you with 20 questions each, and after the 20 questions are answered, the app will give you a score depending on the number of wrong answers and the time taken to answer the questions.
Both these sections have very elementary questions that would help kids who are just starting to learn maths.

The next section, i.e the ‘I’m Feeling Clever’ section is a mixed bag of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division sums. The questions here are elementary as well.

The ‘Brain Cruncher’ section is a section that helps in boosting your mental math skills. There are 3 different levels, the Low, Medium and High Pressure levels, and this is recommendable for adults.

If you want to compare your math skills with that of the other folks using this app, then you can choose the ‘Online World Challenge’ section and answer 50 questions to really test your aptitude in math.

The ‘Math Blaster Challenge’ section has the interface of a shooting game, in which the questions appear in small bubbles and you have to try and answer each question before the bubble disappears. For a math game, it’s actually kind of addictive.
The next time your kid asks if they can play a game on your phone while they’re waiting for something, try this app. It educates them while keeping them busy.
