If your Android device keeps running low on battery it’s handy to be able to keep a constant tab on it. A widget is the best solution because it can provide information right on the home screen. The Battery Solo Widget is a no frills solution.
This widget is available on the Android Market for free. It requires Android 1.6 or up. The pro version is available for USD 1.93 and it provides some customizable features and shows more details like current, voltage, etc.
You can install the Battery Solo widget on your homescreen by following the instructions in our tutorial on how to install a widget.
This widget simply shows how much juice is left in your battery as a percentage. If you tap on the widget, it is supposed to give you the temperature of the battery in Celsius or Farenheit (depending on the settings you choose). Unfortunately, this feature didn’t seem to work on my Android tablet.
There isn’t much more to say about this one. It accurately puts the percentage of battery power left in a big black and green circle on your home screen. It’s hard to no miss.
