With AIO computers touted to hit big in 2010 the shanzhai players are busy lining up systems so they can be first out of the gate. Here’s one of the early models sporting the next-gen dual-core ATOM processor inside an 18.5” screen chassis.

On top of the ATOM processor, the computer features 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. It also has an optical drive, card reader and wireless support for keyboard and mouse.

You can see from the images that it’s a very simple design, which is essentially what the AIO PC is about, I guess. No cable clutter, sleek and unobtrusive and more in line with the décor of the modern urban home.

Conclusions:

By all accounts, the AIO PC segment is headed for rapid growth next year. Certainly in Western markets this seems likely, but whether there are such big gains in China, where the traditional bulky desktop is still a big seller – especially for wedding gifts where bigger equals better – remains to be seen.
